| I recall seeing a video reel about 3 years ago after Russia invaded Ukraine. An interviewer was asking rural Russian residents which type of government they preferred, democracy or communism, the vast majority replied communism, probably a wise choice if you preferred to continue to live where you were versus an arctic climate. The reply that sticks in my mind was the guy that said he liked communism because the government provided everything he needed and now he even had his very own tractor to drive. He seemed happier than a pig in slop. | |
