The rest of the story, I'm not that far from Bonpas and we had rain late Monday and cloudy Tuesday. My beans didn't dry out till 3 PM today. Coupled with a lousy spring and a lot of late planed/replanted crops, especially beans that are not totally ripe yet. The late season flash drought has resulted in uneven maturity so many area farmers have been waiting on beans too ripen. I don't think Illinois farmers are "laid back" at all. But we are whiners, it's been a crappy year here in southern Illinois.
