how do we balance export demand and world politics? thats what we are seeing here. spend 20 or 30 years developing trade with a nation, only to have them turn and go to a different supplier. Im not saying dont try to increase exports. Im asking how we avoid this situation we are currently in. You can not reasonably expect any nation to pay more to import our goods. You also can never guarantee a nation will be friendly forever. You have to expect a large importer of things to develop their own way of producing them, eventually.
Make the product they are making with our export cheaper than they can, then sell them that. |
Would you rather get the bail out money or give it to places and programs to increase exports ?
