NW IL | You also lose a lot of efficiency having acres spread out vs all close by. I'm driving over an hour and a half by tractor to get to 1/3 of our acres. The fields are within a mile or 2 of a farmer in that area driving an hour and a half the opposite direction to farm a bunch of acres within a mile or 2 of our home site.
I'd love it if everything was within 5 miles. I'm almost 50 end to end now, but it all depends on who the landlord wants, not what makes the most efficient and logical sense. | |
