I can`t argue with that, however if ag bankers are saying 30% of their customers will go broke without cash infusion, perhaps we should avoid a crash that would have ripple effects to ag retailers. I remember during the 1980s broke farmers crashed banks, feed stores... that`s why some small towns still have the boarded up buildings. I was and am against how the cocky farmers were bailed out during the 80`s and it`s a shame some of the small ag retailers didn`t get equal treatment. the cocky clown that got a $800,000 bailout in 1980`s dollars could`ve took that windfall and bought 800 acres at the going rate of $1,000/acre. but they strut down the street with their nose in the air like they pulled themselves up by their boot straps. they just dug their hole deeper than anyone else, is why they got the bailout.

Dont want to be that guy, and My crop has been through worse than what grain is going through now and am peeping through the other side. We got no bail out.

But anyways maybe let half the row crop farmer go under like pecan farmers have. I need a new to me 250hp tractor and wouldnt mind a flooded market of good used equipment.

Farming is nothing different than any other line of work. If you work for someone else its just the carrot hanging infront of you. Go out on your own and make your own "niche" market and you will make more but work harder. If you were a pecan farmer who just grew, harvested and dumped them off at the local buyer you probably already went out of business. Maybe learn how to niche market your crop?
