Subject: Grain farming could be drastically more efficient

This is the absolute best harvest day so far. I'm shelling a load and hauling a load as are about 1/4 of the local producers.

I live in the smallest county in Illinois out of 102 total. I would estimate 1/4 to 1/3 of the 100 combines in the county are not moving. This county could be harvested with a dozen efficient class 7's or a half dozen efficient class 10's. I didn't see a combine moving before 10am. Mine included. Not more than a couple will be moving after 8 pm. Mine included.

Same with planters, sprayers and tillage tools in the spring.

Hope no billionaire ever notices.

Bonpas
