Subject: RE: freedom to farm 2.0

I am a "have not" and it`s already happened...quick story: so i`m a putt-putt farmer with a 9500 combine, the rear main seal started leaking, so like a good boy I called my local friendly John Deere dealer. the nice young lady said "we`re a day and half behind" I thanked her, it`s busy, I completely understand. a day and a quarter later I called to touch base, the same nice young lady says "the techs can`t do it on your farm, it`ll have to come in" I said "oooookay, could we do that?" and she said "i`ll have them make and estimate for you" . haven`t heard "boo" from them, not even a 15 second voice mail text to say "sucks to suck" they ghosted me" .

but here are the "facts of life" in the new 20 site John Deere (and i`m sure other color) world a guy with a class 5 combine doesn`t even have a name tag. the facts of life are, if they did let me bring it in and soak me $10k, that`s nothing to them, they probably have 2 X9`s and 3 S680`s in the shop all needing $100,000 in work. a guy like me isn`t even worth a 10 second call to say "in all honesty we can`t do it, please go somewhere else" and I did and nothing on my phone from them. I don`t matter enough that they wouldn`t even get enjoyment watching me call and beg... "go away peasant!".

I do recall the days when you went to the dealer and they would say and would do "we`ll take care of you" the crop to the little guy is just (maybe more) important as it is to the big guy.
