Higher across the board locally. Fertilizer is up but not going to apply as much. Apply build up when it’s cheap and draw it down some when it’s expensive. Seed is unchanged, chemicals will be unchanged or we’ll purchase from a wholesaler instead of our local coop and save a few dollars an acre. Not calling the auctioneer here.
I will say land is the toughest part right now, would like to purchase some and had an opportunity pop up but the price landowners want just doesn’t match the local results from the last 6 months. Rent is the same although I have considered being a little more aggressive going after some rented ground over the next 12 months. Property tax bills keep going up and landowners are feeling it more if tenants aren’t agreeing to an increase every year, have to take the opportunities where you can find them
