EC Nebraska | Di you understand what socialism is ? Socialism is when govt owns and controls all means of production and makes all decisions regarding it . The US has made a policy decision to subsidize agriculture in order to insure a stable and cheap supply of food for the US consumer and it seems to work because no country on the planet spends less of consumers disposable income on food. Whether we like it or not nothing much will change.
