Complaining does.
One. It reminds people that voted for this that they did vote for this. It did affect them negatively and they should remember that going forward.
Two. The complaining is reaching other internet forums. There are hundreds in the posts a day on Reddit about this. Hundreds more on tiktok.
Three. At some point with the discontent that are more localized leaders like senators and congressmen will start worrying about their own positions and not what a lame duck president has to say? Aides read Reddit and watch TikTok daily.

You've complained on here before about things. Ask yourself what what were you trying to accomplish then.
