Must have missed the variety locator section when making the file. 

I still use the Setup File Creator tool. It will try and push you to Work Planner, ignore that pop up. 

Follow the steps like name and which display type, and in the LAND section where you pick your fields there's a dropdown at the top for variety locator and what crops. It'll show on the right for each field which crop it found. Check all those fields and boxes and finish the file and send it. Import it on the combine screen and it'll show it's found VL files. You'll have variety locator to pick in the Work Setup page
