Sibley County, MN | Just as I suspected, the partially melted ethernet connector was the issue. I was able to test continuity from the ethernet terminals to the ECU connector on my good cable, and sure enough, two of the ethernet pins on the bad cable were dead.
Cut the melted plug off and verified that the wires were fine to the ECU connector, prepped the cable for a new ethernet plug, and crimped one on, all 4 ethernet terminals test good now. Should be good to go, will find out when I plug it back in tomorrow.
This was a brand new cable that I took out of the bag, that was purchased several years ago on here with some other parts and never used until now. | |
