Rocks can be a problem. These units work best when running around 9 mph. The purpose built machines are all heavier and seem to move more dirt. IMO the chisels really shine in standing cornstalks in the spring. They pull much better in wet conditions. As stated above clearance for road travel is an issue too. Newer chisels have more ground clearance.
