South Central Wisconsin | To check if the Vari Cool fan drives are good or not, stick a prybar in-between the sheaves and pry them apart: they must move parallel with each other.
On the bottom sheave, grab the halves and try and rotate them opposite of each other, and in and out: they also must not have separate movement.
It's likely that one or both are completely shot, and the pinching action of the worn out sheaves caused the belt to rip. | |
