Subject: RE: Jd 6620 picking corn question

Faunsdale, AL
Had to slow my 9600 down yesterday. Corn is very dry. I was able to close the concave some without breaking cobs.

I was running at 420 and am at 300 now. It has mostly eliminated the cracking.

Wasn’t long after that I saw a whole cob in the clean grain! WHAT?? Sure enough I had a couple broken louvers in the chaffer. Guess I had the sieve a little too wide!

Not working on a high yielding crop here in drought central, so got plenty of separating capacity to handle the grain.
