Wisconsin | "condensation in dash" sounds funny, are you sure that's not the remains of letting out the magic smoke? I'd assume the tach runs off the alternator, and the alternator won't put out power if it's not getting ignition power, so all that seems to be related. The smoke could have been a wiring connector that is easily fixable, or could be something deeper in the "module". I'd be checking for power at the alternator, then the various points of the ignition circuit around the dash. | |
