i would think the apron chain / belt speed is more important at knowing rate. that is the case with our bbi litter spreader. monitor the shaft speed on the apron. i attached a sprocket and used a proximity sensor (dickey john) to get pulses but still too low a frequency for the ag leader display. reading just too irratic. havent had time for plan b.
