Texas
Just going off what i recall , all of our N-14”s were celect .
Jb always wanted the latest to save .0000001 gallons of fuel a mile :).

I have never seen a mechanical N-14 in a truck , thats not to say they did not make them just because i have not seen one .

Again , Speculation . but i think in that time frame the “red top “ N-14 was up to 525 horse . Ours of course were not that .

I think we had them in 92-94? . We then went to M-11 celect . Thats a garbage oil leaking junker in my opinion .

We put a whole bunch of heads and cams in them .

They were 370 horse , and better have a whip on the horse to get that .

Its amazing every one we had puked oil everywhere .

Somewhere in that time frame , we got 1400 torque that needed the 15-1/2 clutch . Its now probally standard .

The celect system as i recall did not give very many problems .When it did you were in for a fight as the troubleshooting then was not very good . Im sure its better now .

If a N-14 celect is still running today , good bet the problems have long ago been fixed .id not be scared of it .

Could always post a few pictures and id be happy to give advice .

International then had fuses in the battery box , those gave a little trouble until we figured it out .

Id not own an international truck of any year or any kind with any engine - pure junk from when i started in 1988 to now .

Heck , you are in Tx too . might do a road trip and look at what you find . the cost will be some good BBQ at lunch .
