I’ve tried all brands and colors, they all eventually fail at the fitting

i have a used fire hose reel now with close to 200’ of 1” black hoseline and it is working great.  The hose is probably at least 30 years old, no idea what truck it came off of.  It’s probably one of the best upgrades I have made in quite a while

i wonder if a fuel hose swivel would work for taking the kink and bend out of the typical air hose?  Might be worth a try
