I thought about getting a factory switch from jd and using only two of the wires. Seems to be getting a little too complicated for a cowboy, might have to seek council again in the near future….

Yes you could do that and leave the original switch connected but hidden out of the way. I prefer to just use a separate new switch in a blank if available or mount another way if not. My 8310 and combine do not look "factory" though which doesn't bother me. |
