Northeast Missouri | I raised some oats this year...no Fed. Crop Ins. of course.
But when I asked the agent for hail ins., she replied that their ins. carrier limited oats to $300 coverage per acre...the only way to get higher coverage is to argue for it. I sent her several arguments (split N applications, etc.) and was able to get higher coverage, but it shows how much things like oats are treated as "second class citizens" by both government and the insurance world. |
