I think you would be happy with the switch over to the Ag Leader Yield monitoring system. The complete Steady Steer system could be used for steering based on AB lines. Adding the Truesight system would allow it to control the Steady Steer motor for steering in corn based on the feelers.

If you are going to use the UT capabilities of an Ag Leader display to setup the feeler system (a standalone box is available I believe) you will need an ISO branch on the Ag Leader display cable. An older display cable may not have an ISO branch. That was my situation so I needed to purchase a current Ag Leader display cable. Again this was with a Truesight 2. I have no experience with the original Truesight (1).

When I installed the Steady Steer motor in my Deere 9770, the kit contained two formed adapters to fit the two different styles on steering wheels that Deere has used. I used the one that had the same amount of dish in my combine's steering wheel. This worked very well and centered the motor mounting assembly very nicely.

Hopefully there is a specific kit for your combine.

I moved the Steady Steer to my Hagie with the idea of using it there. Since there was no specific mounting kit, I needed to use the general purpose generic kit. This was more difficult to mount and I needed to purchase some longer screws to get it mounted. It took some time to get the assembly centered nicely on the Hagie steering wheel. I was eventually able to get it centered and mounted.

We were disappointed on the performance with the Steady Steer in attempting to spray row crops. The higher ground speed and planter drift prevented Steady Steer from doing a good job.

I believe it would work fine in certain situations. When I received my Truesight 2 kit, it included an advertising brochure for a feeler system for sprayers. This was similar to the approach of using a set of feelers on an arm on a sprayer. When I enquired about it, I was told that the product is no longer available since the company was purchased by Precision. I had gotten the advertising brochure inappropriately since my kit was a "hold over" from the previous year.

Next year we may use the Hagie for some broad acre pre emerge product. We may move the Steady Steer to the Hagie again and try it in that situation.
