Subject: RE: 3 point hitch backnhoe

First off the backhoe is either to big for a 25 HP compact or to small for a 100 HP 4020. Experience speaking, I have owned 4 rear backhoes in my life. First was a small import that was not as good as a shovel. Second was an ARP bought new with a 4020 that was 30 years old when I got it. worked ok but every hose on it was rotted. Third was a nicer woods but it was 3 point hitch and had all the slop associated with that mounting system. Fourth and last was a John Deere frame mount for a 4052R, it worked good but getting on and off tractor to reposition made digging aggravating. Every time I keep saying no more only to repeat the same thing expecting different results. I now have a mid size mini x and absolutely love it. Used it this weekend to unclog a culvert that silted in from come dirt work I had been doing and then repaired a busted water pipe. I think it will be one of the last items to leave here when the time comes.
