E ND | I don't think too much electrolytes is a problem in that way. I do think we get dehydrated and try to replenish with water or a sports drink which are mostly junk. Sounds weird but just read a recent study on milk being one of the best things to drink when dehydrated. Add a light meal of something pretty plain and low-fat like half a deli meat sandwich, PB&J, some salty chips and veggies etc. (and no offense but your choices of mayo based "salads" when you're not feeling well struck me as odd).
My advice - stay hydrated (water) before and during hot weather activity and plan some salty snacks during the day. Getting run down and dehydrated then overloading on water and adding a sports drink is probably not a great idea and likely caused your stomach issues. | |
