The bigger question is why do we need to rebuild the cowherd?
Why do we need manufacturing here?
Why do we need grain production here?
Why do we need call centers here?
Why do we need tech support here?
Why do we need MCOOL here?
I could go on but right now imports are significantly up, labeled as US, and no one cares enough to make an organized backlash.
The packers aren't blind. If they can ship a cow from Australia, live or processed, and still turn a profit, what does that say for the future? |
