How many loads really depends on your forage or hay tests. I use dairy quality alfalfa and a low quality local mostly mature grass and straw mix for filler because i can buy it for the right price. I use whole shelled combine run corn as concentrate. I plug in my test data into the ezration calculator and it spits out how many pounds of each i need to put out. It takes a little experience to get the floor speeds figured out but it's not difficult. I read the cows manure also for confirmation. Blades will wear different for different forage. On mine the alfalfa wears the blades the fastest and i find it best to flip them when they just start to round off. The two lower rotors wear the fastest on mine also.
