Nash County, NC | I would tell them without farm payments, the ceo of Bayer could only afford a small beach house. With subsidies, he can raise his prices and afford a nice place in the French riveria like he deserves.
I would remind them also about the John Deere management team. Without farm subsidies, how could farmers afford million dollar cotton pickers and million dollar combines.
I am not being sarcastic, it’s simply a form of corporate welfare that passes through the farmers back account. I am with the masses that we should capitalize on whatever is available. But there’s no need to continue to pretend it’s about supporting the farmers.
