SE SD | Truth is, there aren't many young men or women that are interested in living in the middle of nowhere, with nothing to do, nowhere to go, and have to drive 100+ miles to the nearest podunk town to get groceries. I'm not saying that lifestyle is dead, but there are fewer and fewer true cowboys and cowgirls left. It'll be interesting to see what happens to the majority of West river SoDak land in the coming decades. Heck even small towns east river are pretty dead, can't even keep a cafe or bar going. What I'm trying to say is, most youngsters prefer the city lifestyle or ranching lifestyle. | |
