Subject: Your advice on day to day management of a ranch hand

West Central Nebraska - Sandhills
Would love to hear everybody’s advice or just a tip you may have on something you’ve done to be a good employer of a ranch hand that has paid off and been both good for you, good for the employee, and good for the Ranch. Have had several employees over the years, most part-time, I’ve learned a lot from it, but I have a new young guy starting in a week or so that will be full time and really hoping for it to be a long-term fit. he is salaried, we provide housing, and I’m hoping for him to be somewhat independent in the long run and able to problem solve and catch on to how we operate. I want to be a good employer as well. TIA
