Texas | Proudpappa and ar plowboy , nailed it .
very rural area , we resopnd in brush trucks on medical . and attempt to get as close to a marked road as we can with every light we have on to try to help ambulance in .
We have trouble ourselves finding places . i guess on the 3 stations we cover about 30 or so miles .
I for sure know i have been 15 miles from our station more than once and much farther a few times .
I have responded to medical assist in my pickup several times . We cant really do anything but assist EMTs when they get there . It does make people feel better when we get there . we are very lucky to have 2 full time guys on our VFD . Problem is they are on shift alot .
Yes , i never let my pickup below 1/4 tank .
and yes i have clothes laid out all the time .
my gear rides in my pickup all the time .
If im hooked to my cattle trailer , it just goes to station too .
Cheif has pulled his there too . | |
