i can only say that i remember way back when my dads dairy farm used numbers hung on neck chains to identify cows. Cows would catch them on anything and everything, even to the point that one or two actually hung themselves. Im sure they have that figured out somehow though.
Getting the collars caught on something in the wilderness of the green Misery Hills is a concern of mine.
But with this technology there should be an alarm or some sort to let you know that the animal hasn't moved from one location for the last so many hours. So in theory should be able to go find and check on animal and free it if possible. |
