I have cheap LED lights on my wheel loader and there's no problem. 3 pairs of lights all a different brand.
Your antenna could be the problem. You could temporarily plug in another one to know. If it's not the antenna then there must be a connection somewhere that has resistance. You could run your jumper wire from the battey to the switch to narrow down your problem.
