Laying aluminum foil on the hood might work for awhile. Go to YouTube and type in ‘cats and aluminum foil’ or something like that. People will lay foil on a counter top and when the cat jumps up on the counter the cat sees the foil and springs back so quick it flies through the air and takes off. We tried this with our cat and the foil had no effect so your results might vary.
