Coastal South Carolina | I will share my experience with 2 Holstein steers that foundered on wheat. They weighed about 400 pounds when this happened. I had only been involved with cows for about 3 years.
I found them on Sunday Morning. They were so bad, they could not hold their heads up. I called a Gentleman who you might say was mentoring me with the cows. I followed his advice.
I went to local convivence store at 8:30 Sunday Morning and bought the cheapest quarts Molt Liquor I could find. I suffered the scowl of the cashier, had to explain what I was doing to get her to sell it to me. I Poured 1 down each ones throat (spilling it all over me, planning to attend Church afterword) that morning. I went back to them at 5 pm and poured the second quart down each one. The next morning they were up grazing and never looked back.
