Subject: RE: Morning Glory Problems in Corn

King City, Mo
Our popcorn takes forever to close the rows.

Fall spraying doesn't seem to help on late summer weeds.......winter annuals yes.

In a perfect world you get 30 days control if rain activates, and not too much rain that washes it away.
Then some suppression of weeds 30-45ish days
Then cover their butts carry over restrictions.

I went to spraying right before or right after planting.

Then again in early June.

Been doing a callisto, atz, acetochlor 1st pass, add gly for a mixing aid if popcorn isn't up.

second pass - Impact, oil, liquid N, outlook, atz, bug killer

When we had field corn in the same field it would be spotless and the popcorn would be where any escapes are. So the corn growing good and closing the rows is a big help on weed control.
