Fond du lac | Pay for the fuel to apply it. It takes a good amount of fuel to apply manure. With dairy manure in our location you can’t count on the N being there when the crop needs its(1 out of 10 Year). Another way is to pay 2/3s of your cost for commercial P&K that was going to be applied. Then everybody gets something out of it. They may have a shorter haul to your field which saves them money. Make it beneficial for both parties. Like someone else said there are also risks of compaction and uneven application. | |
