Gonna spread thick manure on it this fall, prevent plant it next spring, & seed it middle of June. Mix it with oats & field peas. We’re wet in ND. Is this gonna work or spread the manure on next years silage crop instead?
The insurance fraud or what part?
The insurance fraud probably because if you're confident enough to post online you probably have an in on it.
Why would one want to spread manure, full of weeds, on something one can't really spray? Snow catch?
Alfalfa usually needs a freeze to germinate regardless of if it is scored or not.
Your plan sounds like an NRCS plan, which doesn't work. Plant in June, probably with a no til drill, so then it sits there until April letting the birds and insects eat it, it comes up crappy and bad, and then you are screwed because enough comes up it doesn't pay to start over, but it doesn't pay to hay it, seeding into it doesn't really pay either... |
