I agree with what you are saying. but at some point a slicker kernel that packs better cannot offset a kernel that weighs half.
Especially if one is comparing 42 and 66 pound corn. I could see similar weight kernels having 10% different test weights.
Just like the same corn that tests 56 pounds at 25% moisture, will probably test in the low to mid 60's at 15.
