Croswell, Michigan | Many years ago I was at a seed field meeting. Similar environment to this with low commodity prices. Someone in the crowd asked the DSM how they could justify raising the seed cost for the following year? The DSM’s response was ‘Well our production costs are going up…’
I thought to myself you didn’t just say that to 30 guys that are facing the same scenario but have no control over the prices they sell for. Needless to say that, along with several other arrogant comments from him slashed the amount of business I did with that company. If a good friend of mine wasn’t the dealer, I would’ve been done dealing with them a long time ago. | |
