Subject: RE: Morning Glory Problems in Corn

SW Iowa
Do you do your own spraying? If you know where the trouble spots are, hitting those areas with another shot of 3oz meso, 1/2# ATZ, & glyphosate as late as practical (read label) to knock back early escapes and increase residual is cheap and easy. If you have a lot in the seed bank there will probably always be some that emerge late and drone app may be the only real solution for those, but even coming back 2-3 weeks later seems like it can make a significant difference reducing the time they have to get big and viney.

I run a similar herbicide program with acetochlor and this year made a pass around the edges of most of my corn fields right before switching sprayer over for soybean post. Still have a few morning glories on the outside row, but for as wet as we were all summer it seems like it was a worthwhile endeavor.
