Your claim that a full moon causes a high pressure system, for example, falls apart quickly. Across Earth's entire surface, pressure has to balance out to a constant. It is, after all, the (unchanging) weight of our atmosphere divided by the (unchanging) area of the planet's surface. If our moon (or sun) caused high pressure in one place through tidal forces, it would necessitate the formation of a corresponding low elsewhere. | |
