We spray some of our corn acres every year regardless of leaf disease or not due to continuous corn.   Some years those acres get sprayed twice for CRW beetles.     Even last year we sprayed some really crappy looking corn for beetles just because it was going to be corn this year.  It was a crop insurance claim and we knew it would be when we sprayed it.   Sometimes the picture is bigger than one crop year.  

But yeah, by the time the tassels come out I’m more than sick of spraying and it seems like spraying TWH in beans drags out longer every year.
