When did they notice it? 200# of N is close to full rate depending on yield goal. Did it not get applied at all or did the rig make it to the field and have issues maintaining rate? If the bar never made it to the field some of the blame has got to be on the farmer. Can’t see how you don’t notice it prior to planting and then let it go all year.
iIf it was put on right in front of the planter you aren't going to know if the applicator had the gas turned on or off. You would of seen the knife marks, but that's about it.
200# would be a full rate for most farms around here. Putting all the N on with Anhydrous before planting is the norm.
