How bad is the streaking, are you sure they are wrong? Sloughclub will tell you on theirs with herbicide there can be a crop response in the middle from extra coverage, but it’s what’s needed to get a good even kill (on their machine). How much extra is it taking to get that response? 20%, 30%, 2x rate? We normally use 7oz Veltyma, used some higher rates this year. Do you think in areas seeing 50-100bpa gain from fungicide could see streaking if they got a + %30 or 2x rate in the middle of the drone? It certainly seems possible or even likely to me. After all no drone will get a perfectly even spread across its swath, every one will have a bell/umbrella shape. Overlap is required to get to an acceptable pattern. Too wide of course leaves some low rates on edges, too close will put an overly heavy rate right in the middle. I’m really interested this winter to see yield data, and of course more pattern testing from the drone world. Lots of people on social media lately throwing out lots of opinions based on their bias but seem to be light on facts.
Edit to add: I’ll agree you won’t get extra yield from streaks, but not impossible that the yield will be the same or negligible than if it didn’t have them because they “possibly” only showed up due to extreme disease pressure.
