Galena IL | We own a R44 helicopter. When we bought the sprayer for it, they told us it would spray 60 foot. We went out with litmus paper and close pin them to the corn leaves and found we had good coverage at 40 foot. So that’s where my son set his GPS guidance.. We first had an Apollo spray system for the first Helicopter. The second Helicopter has a Symplex system. We have ran both of them at 40 feet swath. Some years we take the farmers up for a ride afterwards when it's out of restricted category, so they can look at what we sprayed and what we didn’t spray. We don’t get as much done spraying 40 feet instead of 60 feet. But we seem to have very satisfied customers….. Dennis
ETA We have a useful load of about 1000 lbs. Their are bigger helicopters that can carry more and have wider swath widths.... Dennis
