Subject: RE: Some real world fungicide results with pictures

SE Iowa
I have a field that was CRP for 30 years and now has been in crop production for four years. I have never applied insecticide or fungicide to the field seeing if it would naturally do its thing. It might have been my worst Southern rust field this year. Granted it has been patterned tiled and had NH3 put on which might have an effect on soil health but this field breaks down residue faster than any of my other fields. Soils tests look good but Southern ravaged this field. We picked it first due to poor stalk quality and it still ran close to 210. Sprayed is gonna need 10bpa more which sprayed has been over that but not by the 40-50 even 80 bushel claims I have seen. But we didn’t leave an ounce of the untreated stuff sit as it’s all been harvested before the unending rain.
