Subject: RE: What was your reaction to cancer diagnosis

West ky
Was told last October that I have prostate cancer. Was not a shock but still concerning. The kick in the gut was losing our 44 year old daughter that started with breast then moved to brain and then to spinal fluid. Basically dropped everything for 3 years to travel to md Anderson Houston every 3 months. Kid went through breast removal and 14 lymph nodes. Several radiation treatments to brain and 2 tumors removed. Oncologist called her back to Houston after reviewing mri. “Specialist” told us it was not lmd as prognosis is not good. 3 months later she had to eat crow as it was diagnosed lmd. That was in June and she passed in August. I will say she was positive all the way. She said she would either beat it or the GOOD LORD would call her home. This was in 24. My PSA keeps creeping up and biopsy last year came back positive on 1 sample of 12 with G-6. I go back next month for follow-up as I chose the active surveillance route.
