While in this hypothetical pool, if an alternative treatment offers a 10% change in outcome and other treatments offer 33% do you still believe the alternative deserves further testing when if testing resources a limiting factor on the number of experiments run?

At a 10% positive effect, how do we know that it was or wasn't just a placebo effect, a too small test sample, too short of test period or some other experimental boondoggle?
