| That is definitely part of the problem. I don’t know what the ratio of cases that would apply to but it will be some for sure.
Personally I would want to know all of the options because in many cases the truly successful rate of any course of treatment won’t be extremely high anyways. That is likely the most annoying things about arguments involving alternative treatments. People that are willing to accept low rates of success with conventional treatments tend to require high rates of success from the alternative methods before they will accept them as treatments.
I want to know all of the options. I want to know the pros/cons of any possible treatment so I can make an informed choice. I am not currently convinced that the medical community is open to doing the research necessary to provide me with that data.
