| I am not sure a large number of them would though. For the sake of argument let’s say that both conventional and alternative treatments have a 10% chance of success. I don’t mean this is known at this time. I mean that 50 years from now and looking back that is what is discovered. In the here and now there is no way to know which one in ten will be the lucky person nor which person will be lucky with which treatment.
Due to a low chance of success using ether method it is far safer for the doctor to only advise the standard treatments because there will be no controversy and he has the safety of knowing that he has the support and backing of the entire establishment if one of the 90% of unsuccessful cases causes him legal trouble.
I know what you are saying and I would have agreed years ago but after seeing what happened during Covid I realized how little independent thought the doctors were actually allowed to have.
